Glass Courses

Jane glass painting

I am planning to run a stained glass (with glass painting course) weekend on Saturday June 6th  and Sunday June 7th and 14th from 10-4 at Great Longstone Village Hall.

We will be making a small painted stained glass panel.

Day 1 – We would learn how to cut glass, look at some simple designs and learn the basics of glass painting using black tracing paint.  We will make some samples and then cut and paint the sections of colored glass for our stained glass panel.

Over night firing in the kiln

Day 2 – Today we make the panels up using lead and solder them together.  We will finish them with stained glass cement, clean up and polish ready to take home.

Xmas fused glass workshops

We will make fused glass Christmas decorations, using a variety of techniques.  everything will be fired in my kiln and you can collect your pieces a few days later.

I know it’s horribly early to mention the x word but I have put in the diary  2 dates for glass fusing sessions.  Thursday 3rd Dec 1-4pm and Sunday 6th 2-5pm.  Book early as these get very popular.

Price per session is £35 including materials, equipment and refreshments.

Please put me down for the Sunday dec course. Hope the rescue trip to Hawaii not too traumatic and your mum and auntie are ok, though I guess you wouldn’t be there unless something had gone wrong. Take care xx
