Workshops and Courses

I run one and two day courses in stained glass and mosaic.  I can travel to any venue, or run courses from the village hall in Great Longstone.  Here are some sample course details:

2 day Stained Glass Course

Suitable for beginners.  Over 2 days you will learn  skills such as glass cutting, grinding, soldering, stretching lead, finishing and polishing.  The course is project based and everyone will have a piece of work to take home at the end.

2 day Mosaic Course

Suitable for beginners.  Learn how to hand cut glass tiles and simple shapes with a glass cutter and various mosaic nippers and cutters.  We will work on primed and cut MDF as a base and create our own glass mosaic. These could be mirrors, frames or wall panels. The finished pieces will be grouted ready for you to take home.

Hi Jane , was wondering if you are planning, have any dates for a glass painting day in the near future.

    • Hi Carrie, I am thinking of running a 2 day course (over 2 Sundays in June) that will incorporate glass painting and making a small leaded panel. I will publish dates when finalised on my blog but provisionally June 7th and 14th. I am also running a 2 day stained glass course in Thirsk at Rural arts Thursday 11th and 12th June.
